Every once and a while I make a breakthrough in the search of our family history. While looking, I
ran into someone researching Marcellous Diamond. I contacted her and after we exchaned information we came to the conclusion
that we were researching the same Marcellous Diamond. Below you will find information found in my search.
Marcellous Oscar Diamond was born as a twin to Wade(1857) and Harriet (1862) Diamond of Virginia.
His twin was named Mervin Hampton Diamond. The date of birth is uncertain. I found Feb 02 and Feb 24 of 1890.
Wade and Harriet had 4 children Pearlie (7-1889) and Maggie (5-1894).
In 1910, Marcellous married Angeline Armstead also of Virginia. To this union 6 children were born.
Marcellous Jr (1912), Dorothy (1914), Janet (1917), William (1919), Ismay Hope (9-30-1920) and Angeline Faith (1923).
Angeline was born in 1893 to William and Molly Harris Armstead. Their date of births are unknown at this
time. According to records, their union produced 3 children: William, Willie Mae and Angeline. Molly Harris is
the daughter of Polly Osborne.
After Angeline's death, Marcellous remarried to Eva Sargent also of Virginia. It is unsure if the
two knew each other in VA. They lived in New Jersey, where his death certificate lists place of death September 1, 1964.
